About SHARQ Yemeni Bank for Islamic Microfinance

SHARQ Yemeni Bank for Islamic Microfinance is a Yemeni closed joint-stock company, established in 2023 based on the license issued by the Central Bank of Yemen (No. 842/CBY/2023). It operates in accordance with the Microfinance Banks Law No. (15) of 2009 and its executive regulations No. (15) of 2009, as amended by Law No. (11) of 2022; the Banking Law No. (38) of 1998; the Islamic Banking Law No. (21) of 1996 as amended by Law No. (16) of 2009; the Central Bank Law No. (14) of 2000 as amended by Law No. (21) of 2003; the Companies Law; and the laws and regulations in force in the Republic of Yemen. Its activities comply with the provisions of Islamic Sharia. SHARQ Yemeni Bank is considered the first bank to establish its headquarters in Marib Governorate and is working to expand to cover geographical areas and major cities through branches, offices, or main and sub-agents for its services and products. In addition, at SHARQ Yemeni Bank for Islamic Microfinance, we aim to contribute to economic and social development by adopting unique methods that allow us to provide solutions and products specifically designed to meet the needs and requirements of all sectors, with a wide range of financial options.
